We have some very positive changes that really should make the event sweet. Thank you for the offer on the subforum…it would be very helpful. I would also like to thank you personally for all that you have done splitboard related. Really, none of this would have been possible without splitboard.com. Thank you. For without YOU they wouldn’t be possible. :thatrocks: September 17, 2008 at 7:46 pm #608031 Ecobrad 2068 PostsI’ve got a funny scrubfest story. So I have to travel quite a bit for work and like most of us would, I always try to incorporate mountain biking and splitting into my itenerary. On this particular trip last year I happened to be in the Bay Area for two days and managed to get both mtb and splitting in. So I’m walking into this really nice hotel with all of my gear (bike, board, boots, packs, helments, etc) and find out I’m on the 30th floor or something like that. I cram into the elevator and am feeling a little out of sorts for being so messy and shit. The door shuts and as we’re riding up and this really nice older lady looks at me and says “so, what exactly do you do at a scrubfest? I look down and notice I’m wearing my t-shirt and respond “oh, it’s a snowboarding festival in Wyoming”. Lady “Do you ride horses while you snowboard”. Eco “No, no, ya know, Wyoming is called the cowboy state..horses. get it”. Lady “So what’s it have to do with scrubs”. Eco Oh, we’re mostly broke snowboarders, kinda like that one R&B song by..(I struggled for the artist’s name), well you know, mostly just broke and kinda dirty.” Just then the elevator gets to my floor and I roll my bike board and other shit out of the elevator. “Have a good night”. “You too” September 18, 2008 at 12:15 pm #608032 Shep 525 PostsWay to represent Eco!!! :bananas: October 3, 2008 at 7:46 pm #608033 Stagger Lee 242 PostsMonk151 and I are planning on heading up that way :bananas:  :bananas: Can’t wait :pals:Funny story Eco 😆‘Till then :drinks: :doobie: :guinness: :doobie: :pals: October 21, 2008 at 3:43 pm #608034 samh 726 PostsIf I am successful in making friends with the local splitters in my new digs here in Bozeman I will be carpooling down to Scrubfest this winter. I’ve seen on Craigslist that you can post singles ads for Men-seeking-women, Women-seeking-men, Men-seeking-men, and Women-seeking-women. I didn’t see anyplace on there to post for Dirtbag-seeking-dirtbag. Hmm…-- samh.net November 4, 2008 at 4:10 pm #608035 samh 726 PostsSo what terrain usually gets ridden at Scrubfest? I’ve been researching Togwotee and it looks like headwall Wes of Brooks Lake is chock full of couloirs some of which I think I recognize from Scrubfest photos. Sublette, Breccia, Two Ocean?-- samh.net November 6, 2008 at 2:53 pm #608036 Wyomingsplit_ride 663 Posts @samh wrote:So what terrain usually gets ridden at Scrubfest? Samh-Only the best terrain gets ridden on Togwotee (conditions dependent of course)…word has it we may have a few sleds for some tow-in access to terrain that would make your jaw drop. I don’t like spewing names over the internet and giving away alllll the goodies. Come on out and I can promise you will not be disappointed. I am definitely coming down there for the ’09 fest and am looking forward to it!-- samh.net November 18, 2008 at 5:02 am #608038 SteveP 93 PostsHey There WYO! Hey I totally understand the thinking, but maybe I should offer to go out with all the chicas and leave you scrubs to your bro fest. 😆PN and I would love to make it out. Need to put it on the calander and get the time off, then we’d be good to go. Will and I thought it would be nice for the ladies to have a tour or two of their own for girl power. I have two, maybe three local gals who want to get together with other girls and not deal with a bunch of testosterone every single day.Girls are not required to ride with girls. I just wanted to make our female counterparts feel comfortable, welcome, and shown a little love. Just tryin’ to accomodate everyone and be respectful. I know that Babes in the Backcountry is a big hit around these parts and that was what we were thinking for format. It is just another option and I want everyone to have fun. It doesn’t mean we even have to do it that way. Sorry to offend you.??????? 😯 November 19, 2008 at 10:23 pm #608044 powderjunkie 1669 PostsNo offense taken. Thanks for the PM, Wyo.More options and flexibility is the way to go and it won’t turn off a bunch of gals who want to go, but are hesitant because of the male ego shit.…and I bet some of the gals ride just as hard.Just don’t change the name to potpourii fest. 😆 :drinks: November 19, 2008 at 11:04 pm #608045 TEX 2486 PostsWooHoo Im in.
