As Burton said, if you use epoxy, use the slowest curing/hardening/setting epoxy you can find. These, after drying, will stay a bit softer, retaining their flexibility unlike the quickdry ones. Good two part epoxies are rated anywhere from a couple minutes to 24 hours… Anything in the “hours” rather than “minutes” is a good bet. I’ve done this for various sidewall and other repairs on my resort boards with good success…
