Geoff Guillory known as Jefe009 on our forum recently launched a new website to share his grassroots videos called SplitLife.net. If you’ve got a homegrown splitboard edit he’ll host your video as well.
Last April the Split Life crew paid a visit to Silverton, Colorado to splitboard the mighty San Juans and attend the Silverton Splitfest. Check out the video recap.

Klem and Lisa at Venture were kind enough to let us film the factory tour as part of the Silverton SplitFest and Jerome from Venture made sure we had proper loaner-boards and a crew for riding and filming. We were fortunate to hook up with the Spark homies as well.
We rode the Red Mountain Pass area, the V5 couloirs, Pumphouse, and many shots at Irene. All of these zones are a few minutes drive from the town of Silverton, which is pretty much the ideal base to stay at when touring the San Juans.
We also met two young rippers from Telluride, Joe Stanco and Ben Gardner. Look out for these kids – they’re down to film all day, jump off anything, are super positive, and just kill it all winter long. We’ll be back to CO to film with these two for sure.
Aside from the incredible riding, some other cool and unique things about the Silverton SplitFest are the catered dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, local beer from Ska Brewing, and of course the legal greenery.
The Silverton SplitFest is highly recommended for any splitter who can make the trip. Fly into Durango, bring your crew and hit those mighty San Juan lines!
