Skin up, strap in, and point it down the steepest, most intimidating lines you can find with the ultra-light, super-rigid performance of the Jones Carbon Solution Wide Splitboard. This lightweight backcountry bomber doesn’t sacrifice downhill performance for maximum touring efficiency, thanks to Jones’ Carbon Construction. This construction method gives pro-level riders instantaneous response and super-light touring efficiency by combining two carbon top-sheet layers with carbon stringers and a dual-density wood core. Mellow Magne-Traction edges grace both the outer and inner edges of this splitboard. This enhances grip on the descent, but more crucially, when you’re side-hilling or skinning up treacherous, icy terrain. The result is a board that delivers unwavering performance on the skin up and ride down, allowing you to rip the lines of your dreams without worrying about your board holding you back. Designed with a slightly tapered directional shape and Directional Rocker profile, the Carbon Solution Wide Splitboard absolutely kills it in powder and untracked snow. It also performs amazingly well in variable conditions and full-on ice, keeping you from slipping down steeps in crappy conditions. Directional Rocker places camber underfoot for powerful edge hold and response. There’s more tip rocker than tail rocker, improving float and maneuverability in the nose while maintaining power and stability in the rear for stylish slashes and big landings. According to Jeremy Jones, this hybrid rocker/camber design eliminates most of the falls encountered while freeriding, as “… you either go over the bars in powder, the nose gets caught in a weird crust and tosses you, or you hit a hard tranny at the contact point of the tip and get bucked.”
