Even though approach skis are not splitboards, we still love our friends over at MTNApproach. Take a look at the new cast-aluminum hinges that will be offered as an upgrade this season.

Ketchum, Idaho – NEW Cast-Aluminum Hinges are here. You asked and we delivered. Skin with confidence and carry more weight with our heavy-duty hinge upgrade. These hinges will upgrade your MTNApproach System to a much higher total weight capacity of 350lbs +/- and they only weigh 8.6 oz each.

For most users, we recommend installing aluminum hinges on the front of your MTNA skis, and keeping composite hinges on the rear (to save weight).
