Terrace is probably one of the best places in BC you could be based out of for backcountry access.

Was there ever any wind there? Video makes it look pretty windless. I have a buddy that wants to do an AK trip and the plane dropoff into the high glacier area is exactly my dream. Being able to combo incredible gravity drops + kite that type of area would … well … its THE dream for me. I’m not going to talk him into making that…

How long were you guys out there for? I’ve been wanting to hit up Haines for a long time! Maybe next year!

Was the $400 flight to drop you off and pick you up?

we were out for 10 days. The only reason we left was that it warmed up so much and we needed to move spots, so we went back to town to wait it out but we ran out of…[Read more]

Nope it was all on the plane ride. We were in Haines…it didn’t look like the access from town was very good (huge mountains and starting at sea level). Some locals told us they tree ski around town, but I don’t think you can get into the goods very easily. We drove up thru Haines Pass on our way back to BC, and it looked decent, but nothing…[Read more]

Sweet Video! Definitely worth the watch, and wait. Saw a couple of spots where you could have/should have aired it out… But I know it’s a lot easier said than done, no room for error when you’re out there. Actually getting out there and riding that stuff makes you respect the pros that much more. I always visualize myself…

Epic dude. Amazing pics and lines.

I think you must have flown with drake at the same time we were there…IrishGav and I spent 10 days out on the cushing glacier. Drake is the shit, you aren’t kidding when you say he’s a legend.

And I also got a flight tour over the heli zone after xavier and company were there…made me realize that I was…[Read more]

Nice work dudes, sick line. One thing that has helped us on our adventures this year is VHF radios. It’s still tough for the first person, but at least your second person can get a spot from the bottom.

    Yeah dude!

Did you take a look at slalok this year? How is the coverage for that this year? Definitely get it if you can. 1000m vert to the lake.

Irish, thanks for clarifying what happened. I’m sure there are a lot of K owners on here who want to know exactly how they failed. You…

I agree that a new company will experience some bumps along the way…and there’s no way you can get your product perfect the first time.

But I ride with irishgav, and his karakoram bindings blew up after 4 days. And not just 1 part of them, but 2 independent parts. To me that is not a lemon in manufacturing. I am not hating on karakoram, but…[Read more]

I know the voile puck system seems obsolete compared to all the new stuff coming out, but honestly, I agree with the old “if it ain’y broke don’t fix it” idea. It works – and it works well. I have been riding the puck system for 5 years and never had a problem. And unlike some people here, I am unwilling to pay a ridiculous amount of money to save…[Read more]
