nice work, temperature controlled heaters, would be nice to have them sitting around. Where did it bubble on the top? along the center cut?
Do you have before and over rockered and final results pictures and measurements.

i rockered the nose on a cambered board, it worked and stayed over time. I built a wood frame that bent the nose much more than the desired rocker. Then wrapped the board in towels and poured boiling water over the board for about an hour as fast as i could bring water to boil. The idea was most boards are pressed around 180f and the working…[Read more]

voile is redesigning their pucks, and burton is making their own next year.
stiff pucks for 13/14
I use some diy puck with an extra ski screw, very little flex. we made them a little over sized and filled down for a snug fit with the sparks. TAUT

would have been cool to see the weight of that set up, sub 150 board and skins with magnetos has to be pretty light,
do you skin with forward lean on the highbacks? I run my blaze’s at 0 (-5 deg) on the climb and 3 on the way down. makes taking longer strides more comfortable.

adjust the heelcup forward until your toes and heels are spaced evenly over the board. check in tour mode to ensure that the toes dont hit the board early.
what size bindings and boots?

i rigged up a set of removable highbacks last year, i notched out the hole that attaches the highback and could slide it off and on the bolts in the heel cup. tour’d really nice, longer stride for sure. didnt take much longer to put in the highbacks than it does adjusting the forward lean on sparks.
on long hikes or flat skins i’ll lace my…[Read more]
walove replied to the topic What difference does it make? in the forum Bindings 10 years, 3 months ago
i have blaze’s, for me its about the straps more than the highback. I find the burner ankle strap limits the forward flex of my boot a lot especially when climbing the blaze lets my ankle flex normally. I don’t feel that much difference in the highback flex. I like stiff highbacks, i ride bentmetals inbounds with their aluminum highback (no…[Read more]

splitting in bozeman, i’ve seen them in action. Climbing bars can be opened and closed with poles. The plastic tab under the toe lever (first picture) acts as the pin in ride mode, locking the binding on to the pucks. The short pins slide onto the new lt bracket from the side and the plastic tab keeps it from sliding back. transitions are…[Read more]

im guessing the voile bracket, unless you notice unusual wear on the bushings.
the voile bracket is steal so it will bend with out breaking, put it in the vice and tweak it
