I’ve got three BC tours on mine, and I could not be happier. Been riding them with low angles, in ‘walk’ mode, but buckled up pretty tight. They hook up real nice with the Bomber split bindings, no problems there. I’m very happy with em. Scott ssattler replied to the topic Dynafit toe piece and Voile crampon in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years, 1 month ago thanks for the info. my impression from reading stuff on the web about the dynafit crampon were along the same lines as your comments…its breakable. i think i’ll get a custom set fabbed up. crampons certainly help. Jack kicked my ass climbing at Baker a couple weekends ago with his crampons…maybe cuz he is 21 years old…but maybe the…[Read more] ssattler replied to the topic Left my skins on for 3 weeks! in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years, 1 month ago must have been one hell of a long skin track…3 weeks of skinning?! did you skin to the moon and back? scott ssattler replied to the topic Your opinions for stickers, please in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years, 1 month ago email sent. i love stickers. ssattler replied to the topic 3rd Annual Splitboard Festival! in the forum ScrubFest 15 years, 1 month ago scooby2 and other utah folk it looks like the ski bus stops running up the hill from SLC around 5.30 pm on weekdays..is that right? scott ssattler replied to the topic 3rd Annual Splitboard Festival! in the forum ScrubFest 15 years, 1 month ago scoob you’re the man thanks for posting all that info, i’m sure it helped a lot of folks scott ssattler replied to the topic Mt Baker – 02/24/06 in the forum Washington 15 years, 1 month ago Jack and I hooked up on Sunday to ride the lightning in the Baker BC. The light was really flat and the snow was suspect, but thanks to Jack for showing me some sweet lines to rip on a sunnier day. Thanks Jack! I’m trying to find a place to stay close to it for Splitfest. Scott ssattler replied to the topic SPLITTING A 168 RIDE TIMELESS WITH VOILE COMVERSION KIT in the forum DIY and Mods 15 years, 1 month ago do you like your TMS? its a sweet board I would try to sink some of the plastic screw expansion nuts and screw in your bindings. A ski shop can help you out with them. I think if you used T nuts, countersunking them, you’d end up with about 8 to 10 t nuts to deal with, and ptex over. ssattler replied to the topic First (and last) resort day in the forum Trip Reports 15 years, 1 month ago What board was ripped off. Describe it, and I’ll keep an eye out for it? You ride plates, right? Should not be too hard to spot. Not a lot of plate riders out here. Suggestions. in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years, 1 month ago i use a pair of Sierra Designs full-bibs, not even Gore Tex, but breathable, and have a huge side-zip pocket on the chest part of the bib that i use constantly. there are more expensive pants out there, but i don’t see the point, these are working fine. ssattler replied to the topic Mt.Rose’s new dog-in-car policy in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years, 1 month ago what crap. that policy is pure SPECIES-ism I’m sure in the summer, horses and riders are just fine. here in WA, a hick fat-ass can ride a horse just about anywhere, horses crap on the trails, piss in the streams, and promote more erosion than one thousand mountain bikes ever could. but take a dog into the backcountry… maybe get a white…[Read more] ssattler replied to the topic Voile conversion didn’t take… Ripped out bindings in the forum DIY and Mods 15 years, 1 month ago how did you drill and prep your screw holes for the bindings? may be salvagable if you placed some of those expandable plugs in the holes…ski shops have them. maybe someone with some shop experience could help you on this. ssattler replied to the topic 3rd Annual Splitboard Festival! in the forum ScrubFest 15 years, 1 month ago so i heard that the lodging/venue options for splitfest 06 have changed…whats the word on that, Barney? scott ssattler replied to the topic Video Magazine in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years, 1 month ago i think a good ‘Couloir’ quality mag devoted to seasonal mountain sports would be sweet, especialy if edited by knowledgable folks (like you guys) and not a bunch of REI wankers like the staff at Outside, Men’s Health (ha!) and other publications. the trouble I see with any new publication is survival.
