Can’t tell in the photos I saw but the pins on the interface go into the touring bracket and with enough use the metal by the pins will fail and the binding side of the interface will no longer stay connected to the board. Like I said mine ride fine unmodded. I too have been eying the maestrale for a legacy to the matrix which I really enjoy riding and hiking in.
