Funny I had the same problem with my boots and it took me 2 years to figure it out (DOH)..

Can I ask is the pain from touring or riding.. ?

As far as I know the Phantom leaver is for the Atomic range of touring boots not just the Backlands. The Atomic locking leavers are screwed on so can be swapped out easily..

Turns out you can just order new locking leavers online, ended up getting a pair for free so had nothing to lose in trying this. Forward’s flex is awesome while having the normal stop of a highback. I thought to put a wide rubber stopper on the end that covers across the two plastic sections so no need to worry about pin alignment. The spring is enough to bring it back and it already has a stopper to prevent the lever from coming back too far against the boot. Could always add a stronger spring if needed.

Cool.. I was only asking as I haven’t actually read anything anywhere about doing this, I have the boots in the post so will see how it looks.

Wondering if anyone has thought about simply cutting off the hook on the Atomics to allow free forward movement and the rely on a modified tongue to tweak forward flexibility ?
