My buddy has an automotive shop so I had just the tool. A hand held grinder in one hand. Vice grips locked into the nut in the other. Hope that helps! Safety goggles gloves too. sbscosplit replied to the topic Never Summer Prospector, long term review in the forum Splitboards 5 years, 7 months agoI have the same size board with phantom bindings. The crampon choices are innumerable! Can you please recommend a couple? sbscosplit replied to the topic Phantom Solo Cleats in the forum Bindings 6 years, 4 months agoCaptain obvious here, BOSS LEGIT;-) sbscosplit replied to the topic Osprey Switch 26 Touring Pack in the forum Splitboard Swap 6 years, 7 months agoPlease send pics to 9708196280 Thanks Patrick sbscosplit replied to the topic Wax your skins? in the forum DIY and Mods 6 years, 9 months agoHey skate I saw that exact video. Good to know that 130 to 140 f degrees is the temp to get. Seems waxing is best for spring, but it can’t hurt if done correctly;-)I’m glad others are doing this and getting more longevity from the skins. So far the skins have been the cheapest thing in my setup. Anything that helps it last longer is good in my book. sbscosplit replied to the topic Wax your skins? in the forum DIY and Mods 6 years, 9 months agoSounds good J, I appreciate ya. sbscosplit started the topic Wax your skins? in the forum DIY and Mods 6 years, 9 months agoFinally got everything set up to go. My buddy is going to show me how to wax my board. He has the whole setup for that. I’m curious about waxing the skins? There is an old thread on here from four years ago, originally started nine years ago.Anyway, what are the more experienced riders doing? To wax or not to wax?I’ve searched around a bit.…[Read more] sbscosplit replied to the topic Are soft boots as effective as hb going up the slope? in the forum Boots 8 years, 4 months agoYeah and I drive a diesel vw. Its front wheel drive with a lsd and gislaved studded snow tires. Is a four wheel drive better in the snow? Totally depends on the driver right! Im not driving off road of course, because that is what a splitboard is for. And part of my decision is just being curious because all my past riding is not a hb.If I…[Read more] sbscosplit replied to the topic Are soft boots as effective as hb going up the slope? in the forum Boots 8 years, 4 months agoThanks for ALL the input! I went with a hb, the dynafit one. Just a touch wider than the tlt 5/6, tad heavier too. $350 new from a local shop. Now to find bindings? sbscosplit replied to the topic Are soft boots as effective as hb going up the slope? in the forum Boots 8 years, 4 months agoFun stuff, lol! Trying to find that awesome hb setup at a good price is mission impossible. If you know ANYONE selling the goods, let me know? sbscosplit replied to the topic 6'2" 190 lbs what size board do you recommend? in the forum Splitboards 8 years, 4 months ago@Taylor wrote:You will find that preferences vary widely on this forum. Im thinking I can save money with some good hard boots because I can use em for skiing too. sbscosplit replied to the topic what bindings do I need? in the forum Bindings 8 years, 4 months agoI am such a noob to split boarding. Just put my hands on one and saw it for the first time like three days ago.
