I thought so. I could have swore I saw some info from this same organizer that showed splitboards being allowed at some races last season. In fact, splitboards are mentioned in the video on the site now that I rewatch it. WTF?

I worried about the same thing before I split my Burton Custom. I ended up just leaving my inserts in. They seemed to be pretty snug. I threw some epoxy in the depressions, let it set and then polyurethaned the entire edge with a few coats. Haven’t had any problems yet and they weren’t a big issue to cut through.

How was the snowpack? I’m sure you’ve seen this shot from CAIC but just FYI.

Also, if the pins didn’t actually get sold, I could use those too. Just got the wife a split and it came set up for split-specific bindings, which she doesn’t have. Trying to get a temporary set up until I find a good deal on some voile or sparks.

Maybe its actually… the White Road of Destiny?? No… from what I saw it was definitely a great time riding 1 run with hundreds of your closest friends. Lines were certainly looking long, but from what I hear, vibes were good.

Funny thing is that the place was a ghost town yesterday.

Very cool to see folks riding some real mountains and real snow. (Been inundated with short clips of short runs on manmade snow lately). The music at the beginning was super dramatic, I kept thinking a shark was bound to jump up out of the snow and grab someone.

I love it! Coming from a surfing background it’s awesome to see folks exploring the limits of different shapes in snowboards. I think this is something that snowboarding has been missing that is common in the surfing community (small scale “experiments” with shapes and designs).
