I’m selling a brand new Karakoram Connect Split Kit. I bought a new split with this new hardware on it. I do not have the packaging that comes with the kit.
Looking to get $125 with shipping.

the tiplocks look sick. Just bought a Jones board and was hoping they would be on the board.
I’m assuming they are currently only aftermarket.
powderjunkie replied to the topic Amplid Milligram in the forum Splitboards 4 years, 3 months ago
Hey,
I’m the one that broke one half of the board on a direct hit to a rock last year that Buell mentions.I bought a used 163 milligram demo board off Jimw last year. I had a couple days on it and really loved the weight and liked the slightly softer flex compared to a jones solution as it is more playful and easier to turn at slow speed.
I’m…[Read more]
powderjunkie replied to the topic Which bindings for new beginner – Union Expedition or Volkl Splitec alu in the forum Bindings 5 years, 2 months ago
there seems to be plenty of info online about the Union bindings. There is a two page thread on them in this subforum.
never heard of the volkl bindings. they look very basic and cheap. if you’re looking for cheaper or entry level bindings, I’d recommend checking out the voile bindings.
powderjunkie replied to the topic Burton Step On Bindings in the forum Bindings 5 years, 3 months ago
the convenience benefits are not nearly that of resort use given that, while splitting, one still has to undergo the ski-to-board switch
to me this is more reason to want a step in system
Ya know Scooby, I have never heard of Yonex. Looks more similar to the Burton than the K2 kwicker setup.
a little search lead me back here…[Read more]

cool video. thanks for the interview Cbalke.
I’m a proud new owner of a used milligram. Can’t wait to ride it.
Curious why Amplid is not making the millisurf any longer than a 161? I’m sure it is because you can ride a shorter board with that shape.
He mentions that it is wider underfoot, but the tech sheet has them at 25.9 and 26.1mm.

The Development Behind Burton’s ‘Step On’ Binding Is A Great Watch!
what do ya’ll think? More importantly, when will see a split specific burton step on?
I’m intrigued, because I’m old and hate bending over to get in and out of strap bindings, but love soft boots. 🙂
powderjunkie replied to the topic Lightweight/minimalist packs and opinions on A-frame carry only packs in the forum The Gear Room 5 years, 4 months ago
I think both carry options are important in a bc snowboard pack. I typically like to carry in a frame because it sits closer to your body and has better wind resistance. But having a normal board strap option is good for short carries or if the bootpack is short or the top out platform is sketchy.
I haven’t kept up on newer packs, but my kode…[Read more]

Great Posts Buell and Russ.
I don’t think one can emphasize enough the importance of a controlled heelside turn or traverse and the ability to do a jump turn.
I remember Tom Burt saying “have you ever fallen forward on your face on a heelside turn?”
No? – so get your weight over your edge/board and resist that temptation to lean back thinking…[Read more]

thx for posting Chewbacca.
A huge loss to the snowboard community. He was one of the greats for sure.
I grew up witnessing his rise to fame and greatness. He grew up in a town about 30 minutes from me and I think I first saw him with Aaron Vincent at a vert ramp in Healdsburg. They would come up and just slay it. This was probably 86-87.…[Read more]

Thanks Snurfer!!
We have friends up near Ogden so we may end up that way for a day or two. Otherwise we will tour BCC or LCC mid-week.
Looks like a pretty nice refresh headed your way. 6K snow levels now in Tahoe. Maybe a big storm late next week too. 🙂

I knew this annual Utah conditions thread would be going off, despite low posts on this forum.
Tons of great pics and stoke in this thread.
I think I post in here once a year saying I’m planning on coming out to Utah, but it never materialized until now. 🙂
