Some “solid” boards have any stringers and other diagonal constructions inside for more torsion acerbity. Afaik, A-frame is one of such boards. By sawing them you might worsen it. But any board with simple wood core are suitable to be a split, I sure. Rode 164 and 172 boadrs in deep powder and didn’t feel much difference in the movements. Also in groomer and forest. Get 171 for more surface.
