GPS navigation, avalanche beacons and even splitboards- that they make backcountry access safer or easier. So maybe a few more people getting after it but I don’t think this app is going to rob anyone of first descents! It looks like a decent alternative to paper resort…[Read more] mushroom replied to the topic Split-flip in the forum Videos 6 years, 1 month agoLove the skin drop before takeoff! mushroom replied to the topic What did you do over the summer? in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 6 years, 6 months agoYour summer is our winter, so I tried to spend as much time camping in the mountains as possible. We’ve got a great network of huts in the Australian alps, so I was mostly based near the one in this video. Lots of skinning footage while testing my new spark bindings. mushroom replied to the topic What did you do over the summer? in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 6 years, 6 months agoYour summer is our winter, so I tried to spend as much time camping in the mountains as possible. If you can find a second hand one that might be a good cheaper option that meets some of your criteria (vertical board carry, winterish). For your overnight backpacking/crag trips, this should be plenty of volume. As mentioned, the sled can…[Read more] mushroom replied to the topic Which model should I buy? in the forum Spark R&D 6 years, 7 months agoI was making the same decision a couple of months ago and decided to go all out and get the Spark Surges. That is one big advantage of an ice axe. Give it a go and test in safe conditions! mushroom replied to the topic Spark Surge Bindings in the forum Spark R&D 6 years, 7 months agoWow, these are great. Put them through things no toe pieces should have to go through today and they didn’t miss a beat. Can’t wait to try the board out on a decent line tomorrow. The bindings are noticeably lighter than my previous setup of voile plates and Burton freestyle bindings. mushroom replied to the topic Spark Pucks have arrived! in the forum Spark R&D 6 years, 8 months agoI just ordered from REI. Had to wait a short time for the bindings to backorder, but only a week or two. Some of their stores have the pucks in stock. mushroom replied to the topic Spark Pucks have arrived! in the forum Spark R&D 6 years, 8 months agoI just orered from REI. Having the template made it so much easier to get a perfect mount of the pucks, so much better than my original split. mushroom started the topic Spark Surge Bindings in the forum Spark R&D 6 years, 8 months agoThese arrived today.
