There was a red one for sale at the Gear Exchange in Truckee just before Christmas. Might still be there. I picked it up…..way heavy. sweet ankle strap connectors though.

I tend to go solo pretty often. I have learned that I seem to be more cautious going solo than with partners. I do like the safety in numbers aspect of partnership though.

Agree on the smaller footprint being a plus. The number one reason I switched to hard boots several years ago was to have increased traverse edge without having the binding and boot hanging over the edge of the board and being obstructed by slope angle or skin track depth.

His spring break is the 14th -17th, but we would be down for anytime. I have our annual mens ice hockey game/beerfest at the Sharktank on 4/4 so 4/4 & 4/5 would be out.

He’s riding a 138 Rome. I think the 153 would be huge for him, but thanks anyway.

AJ is 11 but he is solid. I have him in clickers and approach skis right now (too small for a split). Echo would be fine, or we could leave from my back yard on the snowmos and sled in the camp supplies. Plenty of terrain in the backyard. :thumpsup:

Not many dads out there sharing those kind of memories. Took my son A.J. up Pow house last weekend and was stoked to see him on skins. Perhaps another camp session is in order with other dads and kids ! Let me know, we’ll be there.

I can’t think of a single pro big-mountain rider that has since Damien Sanders, though I did see a few hard booters showing up to some big-mountain comps I did several years ago (and some of those dudes even rocked a pair of poles , but still killed it).

I use the patagonia Guide pants (barely used on e-bay for $36 with $7 shipping) and I went out and bought the Arcteryx SV. For days when a mechanized mode of travel into the zone is required, I use the patagonia. For days when I am skinning from the car, I use the Arcteryx.

Seemed to have just missed you on 12-26 at P-house. Did you avoid the towing?

Looks like the Nipple on the far left and Forestdale Divide (Cole Bowl) to the right of that. Hawkins, Silver, and Raymond all all out of picture to the left. As Dave stated, huge snomo area back there with a lot of pinners trashing the lines.
