It’s also apparent my post came across the wrong way. I meant to give the guy props for making his way safely down something in horrible conditions. I didn’t even know the guy could make those kind of turns… seems he’s always getting dropped off by a heli on top of some crazy powder lines in AK.

Watched this vid on Will’s blog. The rip down that chute looked brutal. Anyone get shit from skiers about snowboarders always side-slippn? Well here’s proof one of best big-mtn riders out there does it too!! LOL

Fellas, Baker opens Sunday. Me? I’m plannin on running up to Stevens and poking around the ski area on the split. Need to shake the cob webs and couch dust off.

Skis are the wheel. Snowboards are the reinvention of the wheel. Splitboard is a wanna-sorta-be ski (the duality kills me!). Evolution happened with the invention of the internal combustion engine, tracked over-snow vehicle, and the No-Board. what it is. :thumpsup:

YO! That looks like a pretty cool adventure. I’ve looked over at the twins from the Mt.Baker NRA and wondered about riding there.

Do you happen to know where the wilderness boundary is? Would snomos cut that 6.5hr trip down if they could be used for part of the access? Just a thought. Thanks. LAYC

bcrider – yeah man, I’m with you regarding the helmet cam footage. I’ve only seen a few segments that are worthy. One would still be useful to have just to eliminate the time it takes to pull from the pack and set up the hand held. However, as far as handhelds and miniDV vs HD would a low end HD camera be worth buying over top-end miniDV?

helmet cam question. I’m looking for a video cam that will be used 60% filiming family, munchkins, etc. 40% or as helmet cam. Do you guys do hand held filming with your cameras? How do they work in that mode – just the same as any other digi-video cam?

Anyone else think that’s a steep price? I know it’s in the mid-range binder pricing but still. $180 moved it way, way, way down my list of toys to buy. Not saying it wouldn’t be fun as hell to have.

It’d be perfect for shuttling the cheezy little hippy pow runs – would make for an entertaining afternoon!!!

thank you REI. I loved every functionality the driverX’s had. The lacing is simply intuitive, quick, and solid. Unfortunatley, my feet did not agree with the boots. oh yeah, one other thing

Mt.Baker Ski Area (the ski area with 70% snowboarders!) is closed Sat due to avalanche work on the roadway up. Sat happens to be the 2nd day of the Banked Slalom… never known the resort to be closed during the banked slalom. This will be another one for the record books.

It’s not cool to swear… my weekend is FUKCD.

I don’t get many approvals from the better half for an overnighter and this weekend was one of ’em. aaarrrrrggggghhhhh.
