Washington is unlike anywhere else have come to experience and had the good fortune to learn in, one trip at a time. From waist deep powder to unknown mountains only a few hours from the greater Seattle area. Over time I fell in love with ski traverses as it demands a completely different set of skills and allowed you too head into zones where…[Read more]

Sadly a week ago Adam passed away in an avalanche in an area he grew up in. It’s heartbreaking and shows that we should never put our guard down.
Sending positive vibes to his family, friends and the people who went to recover him. 🙁

I had the good fortune to be invited to a friends place to experience ski bumming and lift riding during for 5 weeks during the 2015 season and as for resorts it was some of if not the best…[Read more]

My name is Kyle Miller and I have had the good fortune to learn about life through the use of a Splitboard for the past 15 years. In the first 10 years I focused on sharpening my mountaineering skills in the Cascade Mountains of Washington state and in the past 5 I utilized those skills abroad. I created a routine heading to the corners of the…[Read more]

Liz definitely had a spark in her eyes and it was contagious. I was looking forward t going out on numerous missions with her over the upcoming winter but sadly that will never happen. Condolences to Davide, Drew, Liz’s family and everyone who’s life was changed by her.
Life is precious and time is limited.

May
I got an email in May asking what I was up to for the month of June and if I was wanting/willing to put in a huge traverse of the North Cascades. At first I wanted nothing to do with it but after a day of thinking about it decided that it would be better than sitting at home. I was game to Attempt the American Alps Traverse. Long, long, long…[Read more]

Then it was off to the Mt. Baker Splitfest.

The next morning we had a blast checking out the Monte Cristos with a group of 5 including Forrest, Scott, Jason, Ben and me. There were…[Read more]
