I’ll give them a try.Still looking for an answer to Strappy Straps – sold individually or in pairs for $20? jcbackcountry replied to the topic Has anyone tried the Strappy Straps? in the forum Spark R&D 7 years, 9 months agoHey folks, quite questions. Are these sold in pairs or are they $20/strap/binding?I keep seeing them as Strappy Strap or Strappy Straps and I can’t figure out if they are singular or plural. I’d hope you get 2 for $20 but wanted to be sure before ordering them. They seem like a good idea in tougher travel conditions. jcbackcountry replied to the topic Rider down – news reports Liz Daley killed in avalanche in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 7 years, 10 months agoAbsolutely devastated by todays news, but this one really hits home. Liz was a friend, we met at Wheeler Hut (Roger’s Pass) just last winter, we kept in touch and I rode a wave of her endless stoke all winter/spring while she shredded Gnar in Cham/Europe, PNW and while guiding on Denali.I can’t describe in words how much energy and enthusiasm…[Read more] jcbackcountry replied to the topic It's Always Sunny in Pemberton, BC in the forum Trip Reports 9 years, 8 months agoHey, coverage to the highway is quite good (we were in the western cayoosh, eastern ranges up there will be drier). We also skied primarily north and east aspects, though windscouring was pretty non-evident to ridge tops (all aspects were pretty similar coverage wise. There was sizeable surface hoar everywhere and I suspect it got worse earlier…[Read more] jcbackcountry replied to the topic Southern Hemisphere's Snowiest Locale? in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 10 years, 3 months agoUmmm, I think you mean something more like 15m.On average, the upper Franz Josef Glacier gets almost 14m (45ft) of snow every year! The upper catchment area, or nevé, of the Franz Josef Glacier is about 20km2, so it’s a pretty big area for snow to accumulate. jcbackcountry replied to the topic PNW Snow Bomb!!! in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 10 years, 8 months agoYah wow, it was a good day to put up Christmas decorations! Grey Cup tomorrow, the backcountry calls, but I’m screening my calls until stability heals itself a bit. Still, great start to the season, gonna be a fat ass base built by the time we hit December 1. jcbackcountry replied to the topic PNW Snow Bomb!!! in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 10 years, 8 months agoTo clarify, the 2 – 2 for 1’s (1 for me, 1 for my gf, but add up to two half price days on WB) was from the Warren Miller movie premiere, they do it every year, and we go, if only for the 2 for 1’s. I find Warren miller movies to be like 1 long commercial sometimes. And yes, the South Coast inland avy was reporting today that the Duff got 80cm…[Read more] jcbackcountry replied to the topic PNW Snow Bomb!!! in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 10 years, 8 months agoBut who really pays $100 at the ticket window?I purchased a mine edge card early and got a 5 day edge card for $360 taxes included, plus 1 early season day, plus 2 days of summer gondola which we made a nice backpacking trip out of. Plus 1 have 2 – 2 for 1’s from Warren Miller (gf and I). So my math says:8 days of lifts for $350+100 (2 – 2…[Read more] jcbackcountry replied to the topic PNW Snow Bomb!!! in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 10 years, 8 months agoMore then 4.5″ of precipitation (mostly wet snow) has fallen on the Mt. Out of your list I can only comment on the Voile mojo and Venture Zephyr (I’ve also spent some time on a Prior Spearhead). My opinion of the mojo is that its a touch too soft and too light, neither are…[Read more] jcbackcountry replied to the topic A Quick Breakdown of A Few Splitboards on the Market! in the forum Splitboards 10 years, 8 months agox2 post? jcbackcountry replied to the topic Vancouver/Whistler/Pemby/Lillooet in the forum Split Partners Wanted 10 years, 9 months agoSounds good Tyler, I’ll send you a PM. jcbackcountry replied to the topic FS: Burton Fish 160 in the forum Splitboard Swap 10 years, 9 months agoShitty, sorry maniacdave, I just sold my Burton Fish 160 with the neptune graphic and original Burton 3d bolt pattern.
