Yeah, I hear that sort of criticism all the time.
then maybe you should go ahead and take a hint and not do this.

It’s bunk really, it takes a whole lot more than a map to get out into the backcountry. What it does is makes it safer for those of us who have the skills and abilty to get out…

I moved to Portland last week for a design engineering job. My new job is a in a sea of cubes staring at a computer all day, but hey, if Snoslut can do it, I figure it can’t be that bad.
For me Portland was a slight downgrade in backcountry snowboarding relative to the variety of the greater Seattle area (where I also had a few job offers). With…[Read more]

hey guys, just saw this thread. haven’t been checking things out here lately because i have been crazy busy moving to Portland.
Anyway, i live in Portland now, so if anyone meets up in the area for riding, going out for a drink, or wants to crash at my place, let me know.

mumbles, use any of these, just host them on your own photobucket, because i wont keep them on mine forever.
you can also resize images with photobuckets online software. if the kids who use Myspace can figure it out, i am sure you can too… 😆

jack replied to the topic Board Sizing? in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years ago
i probably should stay out of this because i weigh so much less than you…..but……if you only have one board (why?) a 171 seems pretty big for something you need to ride in all conditions. with that said, one of my splits is a 171 😉 my resort boards are a 154 and a 159-wide though.

can you color the parts different colors in Solidworks and make and exploded view? i am having trouble following your deign. maybe a step-by-step would help as well. not only would it help me, but if you are trying to attract investors, technical monochrome drawings are not going to do it.

good points about making the HC look good JimW.
one thing i found in making the difference between good and bad HC footage is you need something “on you” in the shot. this works well for skiers because they can usually get their hands and poles in the shot. also good with mountain biking because it is easy to get the handlebars or forks in there.…[Read more]
