How well does a pulk work? Let’s say we need to haul a large expedition dome and two small ones, and winter camping stuff for about ten persons. I don’t really see how we could do this with just backpacks, even if we have the manpower. Just the large dome weighs 51 lbs and doesn’t pack small enough for a pack.

How does that board skin? I have a home build reverse sidecut experiment that’s begging me to be split. But I’m not sure it would skin well in anything but mellow soft snow.
Does it want to go up a skintrack, traverse?

I dont think PLUM has that anymore. I finally get to test them this season, I’ll be sure check how far they lean back. This may take a while, they dont have snow around their HQ yet.

1. No flopping. Lots of people ride full rockered boards and skin with no problem. All things being equal (skins, weight) I have the same traction as my buddy with a cambered board. I ride a Furberg.

Never a problem, and nobody I know has that same issue. Contact Spark, they are pretty good wehn it comes to dealing with problems.

Jacket:
Gore 3L or similar on the shoulders and upper back. Gore active or similar on the hood, and sleeves. Softshell for the rest.

Pants: Same idea, tough materials on knees and ass. Lightweight and breathable for the rest.

What is the difference between an onion and a snowboard?

First trip of the season is done, few nights in the car at blow freezing temperatures. It doesn’t get that cold if the car is somewhat insulated.

Solo? Yeah, I woudn’t really recommend that without an avy2 class either. It might make you feel better to wear the bag, but it probably won’t save your live. It mostly depends on where and what your ride though.
