enrysno replied to the topic LT brackets broken in the forum Spark R&D 11 years, 4 months ago

Burton/Markus I like your works and I know you’re a great expert of materials

    but there is a fact:
    – with voilè brackests I’ve done about 150 trips, in all conditions, also little descents, without any probelm
    – with spark brackets I’ve done about 7-8 trips, ok… 3-4 in heavy conditions, and they crashed as you saw….

is there a cause for…[Read more]

probably you’re right, but spark doesn’t write it on bracket instructions
and they doesn’t supply new screws with the brackets
I’ll try to apply these rules on the next brackets I hope to receive in warranty
we’ll see if the problem is this or another!

    simply with normal use
ok…. on hard and steep slopes too….but I think they should be designed to work in all conditions….or not?

enrysno replied to the topic Review– The Burton FreeBird: Setting the Info Free! in the forum Splitboards 11 years, 9 months ago

Kyle, can you tell us the difference between old s-series flex and the freebird’s one? (how much stiffer / softer?)
On alps’ snow the first problem of the s-series was the flex too soft…..

enrysno replied to the topic Spark Fuse's – Observations, setup and modifications in the forum Spark R&D 11 years, 9 months ago

thanks a lot, we really need the new bracket….

and if I can…..I think about other possible upgrades:
    1. a best locking system of the crampon (I’ve lost one in a difficult zig-zag up, on hard and steep slope)
    2. extend a bit the lenght of the crampon teeth (voilè lenght works better)

enrysno replied to the topic (Voilè plate) Vs Bomber Vs Catek pieces? in the forum Bindings 12 years, 8 months ago

    thanks
yesterday I finished the mods to the snowpro
Now I’m waiting the snow to test them

Anyway …I don’t know if the bindings cantings are a problem or not in touring mode…..maybe putting the thicker side of the binding on the board sidecut side you can have more edge keeping on hard snow…

(sorry for my english…I hope you’ll understand..)

voilè mojo is stiffer than venture divide (last year boards), i’ve rode both

enrysno replied to the topic Market reasearch survey in the forum Bindings 12 years, 8 months ago

    I think it should be:

    – light
    – integrated with a vibram sole boot (hard or soft), also step-in type
    – compatible with automatic crampons

enrysno replied to the topic (Voilè plate) Vs Bomber Vs Catek pieces? in the forum Bindings 12 years, 8 months ago

thanks barrows, you’ve already told me about your setup in the other topic….maybe one of the best with hard boots
do you know the weight of one of your binding (voilè plate + pin + catek pieces + screws + t-nuts)?

    Other experiences from others splitters?

enrysno replied to the topic Voile Mountain Plate in the forum Bindings 12 years, 9 months ago

    ok thanks
    your set up seems great!

saturday I tried some experiments with an old pair of snowpro bindings but I think the distance between bails doesn’t let my boot size…

enrysno replied to the topic Voile Mountain Plate in the forum Bindings 12 years, 9 months ago

    thanks
I’ve 9.0 size boots, so I think it may be a cheaper and lighter solution rather than bomber
    about the screws used?

enrysno replied to the topic Voile Mountain Plate in the forum Bindings 12 years, 9 months ago

very interesting, can you post a pic?
I imagine that there aren’t problems between catek’s “boot size screws” and voilè’s t-nuts..or have you used another type of screws?

do you know the weight of the pieces? lighter or heavier than bomber ones?

enrysno replied to the topic Voile Mountain Plate in the forum Bindings 12 years, 9 months ago

Is it possible to bolt the catek toe/heel blocks directly to voilè slider (as done with f2)?

enrysno replied to the topic difference between voile, venture and prior in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 13 years, 10 months ago

    thanks a lot!

now I’ thinking about a new split for me because my burton s-series is too soft (yelding) for general alp’s snow conditions…..

I like the venture divide but also the prior backountry…can you tell me values and lacks of one and other?
