Will definately try the soft tongue then. How much have you filed down the locking mode? Seems you can file down quite a bit if you use a tongue Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Dynafit TLT6 MOD Thread in the forum Boots 5 years ago Karkis I see you have a tongue in your boot? How does it ride with a tongue? Was thinking it might give more steady flex with the locking mode modification, but I dont know. Has anyone else tried to ride with the soft tongue, maybe even a modified tongue? Thanks Eirikverlo@gmail.com started the topic Carbon approach skis with hardboots in the forum The Gear Room 5 years, 1 month ago Hi I once stumbled upon some guys on the internet who used custom made carbon fiber approach skis and hardboots, and then carried the snowboard in the backpack, it was all rando racing style. Can´t find any information about it now though… Does anybody know anything about this, or could help me find more info about it? Thanks Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic The 2015/2016 Gear Thread in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 6 years, 1 month ago Anyone got some info on those new Spark R&D orange bindings? Looks superlight and pretty cool! Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Furberg Snowboards in the forum Splitboards 8 years, 1 month ago I have been riding the 167 split for a couple of days here in Arlberg, and its pretty sick! Been charging the slopes (transport runs ofcourse) and it feels just like a solid board. We have also been riding some spines in 40cm powder and its just epic for that! Really happy with it!! :thatrocks: Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic 333 in the forum Splitboards 9 years, 2 months ago is it bad or what? looks like a good deal, pretty cheap for a custom split… Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Furberg Snowboards in the forum Splitboards 9 years, 2 months ago Ive tested the board now, but only once and that was on a pretty mellow mountain (20 degrees) with variable snow from deep warm snow, deep powder and crust. In the deep snow i did not have the speed because of the degree on the slope, but i managed to get some speed on the crust. The board was REALLY weird but in a good way. It was really playful…[Read more] Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Furberg Snowboards in the forum Splitboards 9 years, 4 months ago Actually snowman1, i think this board will be pretty easy to handle in the forest… It has a lot of taper in both ends, lots of setback and a huge rocker, and all of these features will give it playfulnes. And the board is actually pretty soft, much softer than my Mojo-rx, and softer than my Lib-tech travis rice board too. Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Furberg Snowboards in the forum Splitboards 9 years, 4 months ago Me and toke here will get boards this week or the next, and we will test them as soon as the snow conditions allow us to! Will update you guys on how it performs, and i have to say i am extremely stoked on testing it! Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Furberg Snowboards in the forum Splitboards 9 years, 4 months ago I talked to Daniel, he said he is going to send in orders for splitboards in 167 soon. He does not know how long time it will take to build them, but it means they will most likely come with splitboards this season! I think ill buy a new set of hooks like youre saying firstlight, either voile or karakoram Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Mojo Rx too sloppy in the forum Re: Re: Mojo Rx too sloppy 9 years, 10 months ago The gap between the boards gets MUCH bigger when im going steep on hardpack, we are talking maybe half an inch or more. Havent seen this on any other splitboards (Jones, Prior, Gentemstick), so im thinking it cant be right. The photo was taken with a small pressure made by my hand… Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Mojo Rx too sloppy in the forum Re: Re: Mojo Rx too sloppy 9 years, 10 months ago This is what i mean: This is what it looks like when the board is tight, but the hooks arent. Click on the pic to make it bigger And this is what it looks like when getting some pressure Any ideas? Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Mojo Rx too sloppy in the forum Re: Re: Mojo Rx too sloppy 9 years, 10 months ago The problem is not the pucks, i think it must be the hooks. The hooks are pretty bad set up from voile, so they are maybe some millimeters away from each other. This means the board halves can flex a bit before the hooks get in touch with each other. I think this will be solved by buying the karakoram hooks, but do you guys have any clue if i can…[Read more] Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Stance setback effects in the forum Splitboards 9 years, 11 months ago Well, too much setback will make stomping cliffs harder because you wont have the support that a longer tail gives. Its the same with speed and stability, longer tail equals more stability. You will also need a long nose for stability in speeds and float, so a moderate setback is good for all-mountain riding! I like to only have a small tail when…[Read more] Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Show Me Your Rocker… in the forum Splitboards 10 years ago Anyone got a picture of the Prior Backcountry rocker? Eirikverlo@gmail.com replied to the topic Why havent anyone made a snowboard like this? in the forum Splitboards 10 years ago Well, guys… Seems like the Atomic dudes read this forum! Say hello to 11/12 Sir Floatalot! Regular camber between the feet, big rocker in the tips, and ofcourse early tapered nose and tail! I think this will rip the pow, but not the hard stuff. 8 meter sidecut, and the board is in 163, dont know about other sizes. Any thoughts?
