I’m in the middle of booking a Bernese Oberland tour April 12-18. I would very much like to ride other parts of the Alps, and more, beforehand. I’m thinking a week in Chamonix, some time in La Grave, France, and then shooting for Cortina, Italy before heading up to…[Read more] D-GREEN and the.big.van are now friends 4 years, 3 months ago D-GREEN replied to the topic 2018 Canadian Road Trip in the forum Trip Reports 4 years, 3 months agoGolden took a little while to get out of, the Dreamcatcher Hostel is a great place to stay and get out of the back of a Subaru and the Riverhouse Bar rocks a lot of Metal and stiff drinks. Be warned! After the dreamlike fog that is Golden, I was off to Banff [/url]where I started with some lift accessed runs at Sunshine Village [/url]with…[Read more] D-GREEN replied to the topic 2018 Canadian Road Trip in the forum Trip Reports 4 years, 3 months agoSnowboarding out of the Asulkan valley with a backpack on was quite the adventure. The trail is very narrow, windy, and bumpy over fairly flat terrain above an open creek. If you fall, make sure you fall on the uphill side and not 10 feet down into a glacier fed creek! I never fell, into the creek, and made it back to the visitor center/ranger…[Read more] D-GREEN started the topic 2018 Canadian Road Trip in the forum Trip Reports 4 years, 3 months agoSo it’s been a long long time since I, or many other people for that matter, have posted a trip report on here. In other words, this is a long winded and shitty photo filled test. By shitty photos I mean that they are all taken on a very low end phone with no partners and therefore no “action” photos. It was a GREAT trip though! So be…[Read more] jdoneill and D-GREEN are now friends 4 years, 3 months ago D-GREEN replied to the topic Test in the forum Trip Reports 4 years, 4 months ago[/url][/url] D-GREEN started the topic Traveling the Powder Highway! in the forum Split Partners Wanted 4 years, 5 months agoCamped out in Rogers Pass Visitor Center in a Green Subaru with Alaska license plates for now. I will be heading back to Alaska via the Cassiar Highway sometime. If you see my vehicle and want to ride, give a knock! D-GREEN started the topic AK checking in, with The Diamond in the forum Trip Reports 6 years, 5 months agoIt’s been a long time, so I’ll see how this goes…I put up a photo of “The Diamond” many years ago from a trip report on another mountain. It takes quite a while for the stars to align and allow for “Big Game” hunting around here, but they’ve aligned and it’s go time! Speaking of which, anyone who’s ever wanted to come to AK (and you all…[Read more] D-GREEN started the topic AK checking in, with The Diamond in the forum Trip Reports 6 years, 5 months agoIt’s been a long time, so I’ll see how this goes…I put up a photo of “The Diamond” many years ago from a trip report on another mountain. I believe the Couloir itself is just over 2000 vertical feet of walled in bliss with another 1000 back to “civilization”. On round 1 we skinned for just over 2 hours to get to the entrance of the couloir. As we were nearing the entrance 5 -bilers pulled up and then skinned right past us.
