Plenty of tail clip mods have been done on this forum, I put some tail clips on my when i first got them and they worked great. I have not seen any problems with out the tail clips either.

Just ordered my copy, It all coming together.

I rock both of the north face packs, one is a 22L and the other is 35L, The north face has the best board carry system I have seen. wysplit, good luck with it. I was looking at skiing gannet about a month ago but my weather/work window faded. What route are you going in from, I think its upwards of 20 miles through titcomb and the glacier route I think is 24 miles. I hope he trip goes well, lighten that pack up as much as possible.

Mumbles 5k of vert is some serious stuff, I am in good shape I have been spent somewhere near one hundred days in the backcountry this season and 5 k still kicks my ass. I don’t like to lap slopes so if I do 5k its a big mountain all the way up in one shot.

I ride with an axe when the exposure is great on steep lines. I find the axe to be more useful than a whippet. My bd poles work fine if its not to steep once it gets steep I like the axe.
