What we thought would be a spring corn farming endeavor turned out to be a cold pow hunt that proved successful. Temperatures stayed cold enough to preserve soft freshies on mainly NE and N aspects, particularly where sheltered by a high ridge to the west. With the dusting we get today, I think there…[Read more] breadbox replied to the topic Lassen – Brokeoff Mountain, Neutrino Couloir in the forum Trip Reports 6 years ago Thank *you* Darren for providing real-time assistance! Yeah the line might be a go in a huge snow year but was way beyond our risk tolerance. Psyched to see you and Natty showing up in Buffy’s shots from last weekend. breadbox replied to the topic Splitboard Mountaineering in the forum Splitboards 6 years ago The Spatniks, while a bit overkill for the climbing (support and temperature wise), will at least climb ice & rock well.
