I’m digging my summit, hopefully we’ll get a couple more powder days in washington so I can ride it in something other than corn and slush 😕 bcboarderwa replied to the topic long distance tour in the forum 14 years ago Good idea, I’ll have to try that one out. bcboarderwa replied to the topic long distance tour in the forum 14 years, 1 month ago 300 miles, wow! A few folks have mounted dynafit toes on their splits. Do a search and you’ll probably find a few threads on this. Cutting a thinner pair of skins might give you more glide as well, though they would not climb as well. Whether that would work for you would depend on the terrain you’re planning on covering. bcboarderwa replied to the topic New last name in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 14 years, 2 months ago @Splitfire wrote: I’d change my name to Max Power. Anyone know anything about Sayulita? Sayulita is pretty nice. Small town, without any big resorts. I think the waves are kind of mellow, maybe up to overhead, but not too big. Which was great, since I was just learning to surf. We were there in late Oct/early Nov, and it was pretty…[Read more] bcboarderwa replied to the topic Never Summer Summit in the forum 14 years, 8 months ago They didn’t have one at the demo I went to at Stevens last year, but it’s in the 06/07 NS catalog, I think with the specs. It looks like a fun ride. I’ll see if I can track down my copy. bcboarderwa replied to the topic Kid Stoke in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 14 years, 10 months ago Sweet pics bcrider. Maybe not this week, but possibly this weekend or sometime next week. bcboarderwa replied to the topic never summer plits rule!!! in the forum Splitboards 14 years, 11 months ago They can split any model for you ( build one as a split, not cut a solid board). I think they do it on a request basis, so you probably won’t find a NS split in a shop. There’s a few posts about this, use the seach function to find them. bcboarderwa replied to the topic Avatars and resizing pics in the forum 14 years, 12 months ago OK, I’ll have to try that too. FWIW, the skins that came with my Khyber overlap the board by a few mm each side, and needed a trim. They came with a trimming tool, which was helpful. The skins on my old Voile were already sized…[Read more] bcboarderwa replied to the topic A Little Question for the Rap Crowd in the forum Splitboard Talk Forum 15 years ago @rms56 wrote: Ice Bat That’s along way from a wrap 3 pull 2. I weigh about the same and the 165 Khyber is working well for me. I had a voile 173, and yeah, it’s a different board, but felt the length was more than I needed. bcboarderwa replied to the topic Ride to Splitfest from WA? in the forum Split Partners Wanted 15 years, 1 month ago It depends on the snowpack. I think last year it opened in late march due to the low snow, but we got some dumps in april and it closed again until later that month. I’d guess it would be late april/early may most years. The DOT posts a projected opening date later in the spring. bcboarderwa replied to the topic Ride to Splitfest from WA? in the forum Split Partners Wanted 15 years, 1 month ago @jimjar wrote: How about us NW riders put on our own little get together?
