Some of you may know Nora, my Subaru. I was thinking of trading Her in.....needed more clearence and just getting that new car bug. But, after a few test drives of whats out there, I decided to keep Her. But, She needed a makeover
Seen here in her stock, sassy form
As you can see She liked it low. Thats kinda tough when trying to get up roads like laurel lakes to get that late spring corn
Lucky for me there are a few twisted individuals in Washington ( Bellingham to be exact) who understand the need to go further ,deeper
So, with some tools, some safety breaks and limited cussing
I FIXED HER
I want to say Im sorry to my BC partners, because I missed out on two good Sierra weekends to get this done..........but it is splitboard related

Its listed as a 6 inch lift. I swapped struts froma legacy to outback struts. That gives one inch of lift then the guy made the rest up with brackets ( 5 inches)

Does the engine/tranny have enough power to get that thing up steep hills?
I havent gotten it into the mountains, but I have had it out on the freeway , no problems. I thought that it wouldnt go above 75. My wife was following me in Her car. What I thought was 75 is now 85. Speedo is 10mph off with the new tires....so it will cruise at 70mph @3000 rpm no problem
I also have taken it out "four wheeling" in the sand field next to my house, climbed some embankments ect...no rubbing and no issues.
I would lijke to change the rear differential though to a limited slip. The front is limited slip, but the back is not.
Funny, one of the guys at Discount tire was all over it and was ready to drop in the 2.5 turbo from a wrx sti
