After a few years of thinking about it and spending numerous hours on skibuilders.com I have finally decided to start building my own rides. I know a few of you on here are into that (Huck, Whitepine) and I'm sure there are a few more. I would like to see what everyone is making and hear about their experiences with board building.
I'm gonna start with a few solids(vacuum press at first) that I can split if they pass the resort test, then move making splits.

I'm a beginner at this, I just started this week building my first solid. It will be a cross between my Libtech Dark, Jones Hovercraft and a Furberg.
Really enjoyed the designing part, but I just finished bending my edges and didn't like that nearly as much. It's a bit like decorating a x-mas tree with barbed wire.

Under the DIY section and the main forum if you search for some of my posts I have pics posted of my press and some of the boards I've made. It's A LOT of work but pretty rewarding to ride your own boards. Good luck.

I profiled the camber molds on the weekend too, I went with rocker between the bindings and camber outside with a big rocker nose. I guess you could call it early rise but Im not losing my front camber section to get it.

Its hard to tell from the pics but here they are anyway lol. I used the sidecut radius of the board to mark out the curves of the rocker/camber sections and then just freestyled the nose with a bit of flexible plastic strip that was laying around till it looked right. The tail and nose ends square up from where the 2 outside drilled holes are
