Yikes, I forgot it was a whole 1800 ft. vert. The keg sled is much improved over the drag of a kayak, but still...
It will be a lot of work.
Perhaps the early Friday crew can drag it halfway, and then everyone who comes along can take turns moving it up. Let's see, 4 miles, 1800 ft vert, 30 people.... That's 700ft of trail and 60ft of vert per person!

Found that little fold up ipod speaker. Need to get 4 AAA batteries and will test it later. From what I recall it's not terribly loud (what can you expect from 1" speakers!) but should get the job done.

Cool, sounds good. I'll bring some backup AAAs for it as well.

Updated the original post, but thought I'd add it here too as I've gotten a few questions about this over the last few days. Sorry, no dogs. Forest Service rules.

I just posted the final attendee list in the original post, and also updated who has paid and who hasn't.
There are 20 of us who I absolutely know are coming. There also approximately 10 people who have contacted me and said they are coming, but I have not received payment and haven't heard back from them. Including our off duty patroller! That's a bummer, it would have been great to have a trained first aid person there.
Again, meet up time for the early / keg sled crew is 2pm at the Tilly Jane trailhead.
I got the keg and 2 taps (after I had a nightmare of the tap not working! ) so we should be good to go.
If anyone has a lantern, please bring it. Thanks mucho! Jefe

I've got a lantern from 1980 that I haven't tried using since I plucked it from my parent's garage when they were moving. Gotta be missing the mantels, not sure, will try and find 'er tonite and see what's up. Otherwise see you guys at the TH tomorrow.
Assuming the lanterns use coleman fuel, it may be as simple as bringing some fuel and mantels to get em working. I'll bring some fuel but I don't have mantels. I'll also bring my little BD lantern.
Does anyone know if there's cookware available at the cabin?

Nah, not really. You should bring whatever you need to cook. When I was there 2 years ago there was an epic collection of mustards and ketchups, but dunno about now.

I wanted to get a bunch of Papa Murphys and cook 'em on the stove/fire, but wasn't sure the setup so instead will be boiling all my food. Next year tho, pending what the setup is like....

Yeah, that would be awesome. Rumor has it that Aussie Elliot is going to try to make chili for everyone on Saturday night, but I'd bring backup just in case.
Think camping, just indoors. That's pretty much what the setup is like. Can't really cook on the woodstove, it's only good for heating the cabin and melting snow.
Next year, I got big plans. Let's get through this year first tho!
