Ditto.
Got mine in the mail last week, and it is legit. Good photos, good articles, all highly relevant. Took a chance on a subscription and I'm gladI did...is it going to run year around? i don;t even know, but i hope so.

looked at kronicle today. pretty cool. slightly better than backcountry magazine at being more than just a catalogue. used to have a subscription to backcountry and couloir for years before that. over time backcountry magazine has become pretty worthless. maybe Kronicle will be better? Alpinist was gold, hopefully they stay the way they were.
I had a few email exchanges with the staff at Kronicle super helpful...until they stopped returning my emails. anyway good luck with the magazine.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, glad we could all share in the stoke. This was a really fun project to put together and we've got more where that came from primed for next season. Love to hear what else you'd like to see/read in the future. Anybody else ready to ride some pow? -Mike Horn
**Wasatch Surf not sure who you were corresponding with but email me at mike[at]holpublications.com if you have questions/pitches etc. P.S. I've been an editor with Backcountry Mag for several years, and in many ways Kronicle was born from the stories told and lessons learned within that book. A ton of work goes into every issue of both mags, and well, it bums me out to hear a mag called "worthless" that holds its readers so valuable. BCM dedicates many pages every issue to backcountry skills/safety/avalanche accounts etc that are all aimed at keeping folks like us alive and well in the backcountry. It's a significant part of the mag's mission. A "catalog?" Come on, man! BCM's stable of kickass gear testers from throughout North America would likely disagree. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, and I wanted you to know these comments don't fall on deaf ears. Cheers-

Received mine a week or so ago and ate it up, cover to cover... Good stuff! I always swore I wouldn't be one of those magazine collectors, but.... It started with a few issues of Colouir, then Frequency, now Kronicle....
