Good to check out you fellas art, very tasty. Great turn out!!! It was good to meet Dave, Dan's Mom and Dad, Matt and a few other forum folks, as well as catching up with Kaylee, Kelly, Kat, Logan and Greg... For those I didn't take the time to chat with, please forgive me; I have the social grace of a tree sloth...

Mar, your paintings were sick. Wish I would have introduced myself. It was good to catch up with some guys and meet some new ones too.
Went out today in BCC and built a couple booters. It was slushy to say the least. After my half marathon wasn't feeling touring. I don't think the turns would have been worth it the time we got up there.

^^^thanks all !!
its been a while... skinned out from spruces and up into Days, rode Days Draw (I believe its called)...turns were reasonable. About 6 inches of fluff on a VERY stout crust which made for VERY challenging skinning, but I was stoked because it was the perfect conditions to pull out the Spark Mr. Chomps which performed flawlessly, the icy crust and sliptrack pow were no match for the heavy metal jaws of Mr Chomps!!...turns were ok on areas that do not have existing tracks with a smooth crust underneath....watch out for the death cookies as well!!
would post some pics but left the memory card at home....doh!

dawn patrol up scotty's today. interesting riding to say the least. the 6" of blower would have been nice if it wasn't on top of concrete. cold this morning too. I triggered a small wind slab in the lower gully, shallow within the new snow 15ft wide or so.
hey guys im here in tollgate canyon by park city and im going riding tomorrow. hopefully that crust aint too crusty...anyone got any suggestions of where i should go? looking to do a "biggish" day.

Hmmm... same experience as Mar123 and Wasatch Surf... it looked good, but didn't feel good.
Maybe 6" light density snow in upper LCC. A decent NW breeze kept things cool, with intermittent cloud cover. Snow was easily being transported by moderate gusts, creating stiff drifts and some scouring down to the crust.
Funny looking snow guy...
From the top...
And from below...
Seems like our best bet would be a little warming and some settlement, which should create nice creamy turning conditions on low angle upper elevation terrain.

gonna be back in the Wasatch for a few days on the 21st, looking to go touring one of those days, preferably the 21st, depending on conditions, looking to do something super mellow as I am pathetically out of shape...
