I have not been very sucessful at uploading pics to this site? lets see if this works from flicker.

I made that stainless steel tubing bar yesterday for between the K touring brackets and tried the set up on a tour last night into the gore range. It stiffened it up a geat deal! the third K clip i added right behind my front binding has been there all season and it has not caused any problems, deffenitly improved the performance. wish i would have thought about the bar before, and added that third clip to just above the front binding. then there would be close to no sheer at all. I am always looking for ways to improve performance. Even without the board being perfect, i love the split and ride it everywhere, including the resorts with no problem. Shit i even won Malay day -biggest methofd contest on the split last year. Just to show everyone how far splitboarding technology has come.

Cometogether- PM me and i will give you my number. I have a good group of riders that i have been riding in the BC with forever. I met one guy off splitboard.com and we have hooked up a few times. I am always looking for motivated individuals that love splitboading.

thanks. T

I used a piece of 3/8ths x.035 S.S tubing out of scrap that i got at work. i ground it down around the brackets because it seemed a bit tight, and i didn't want it to stress the K tour brackets. It works very nice! torsional stiffened it up a lot. I just rode a hard pack groomer on it and definitely noticed a big difference! Now i want to make something similar for just above the front binding. If your around Colorado i can cut you a piece? Its light weight and worth it.

cool! i made one here at work as well. granted its just a peice of shelf iron but it should give me an idea if it works or not. it seems to with my flex "testing" so far. did you put nay sort of caps on it so that it wouldnt slide out? it doesnt seem to me it would really move much.

The piece i made is pretty tight in there so i dont think it wil come out unless the tour bracket opens. I used compression fittings on each end just because i had them.

Cometogether are you attending the silverton splitfest? i am going to make a few of these S.S braces out of what scrap i have left, to give away to fellow splitters that are interested in them. Kind of my way to try and give back to the split community that i think is so rad. I think the tubing solved that "sheer problem" that was bugging me. Adds weight but it was worth it to me.

Right on! i have one of those S.S tubing for you cometogether and one for metrix421. i should have enough scrap to have one more to give away to the next CO rider w K bindings that wants one. i am trying to make it out to Silverton Thursday night.

See you at split fest! We might even see snow by the end of the week?

The pin looks really good.
I can not believe I did not think of that.

I will try it out as well. Should make the board a bit stiffer.
