Glad to hear you had fab conditions on your few weeks away - lucky! Must have been truly amazing.

End of season should be possible for me as I'm between jobs at the minute. So stay in touch! Next winter good also. Know what you mean about everyone going off and having babies... or just not being keen on hiking!

Apologies, I haven't checked this thread in while and missed your post.

Emma and I are heading to the Aravis this weekend as planned, pity you couldn't come this time.

There's a trip at the end of March you might be into though.
I'll pm you.

Any other western Alps based (or headed) riders looking for a chilled but fairly hard charging group to ride with at the end of March - drop me line and let you know where and when we'll be out.

So this trip went ahead and was a lot of fun.
Emma and I hiked the Aravis chain and around the Col de Columbiere with friends of mine who live out there.
I'm out there again from March 26th to April 2nd.
I have a studio apartment that sleeps four. If anyone wants to join us, drop me a line and let me know.

Emma, I think I was the other mysterious splitboarder if it was Icicle you were speaking with? Sadly, I've had to put my plans for the Haute Route off until next winter, but if anyone's keen I'm always on the look-out for people to ride with as most of my mates are busy with familys these days.

Aha! Yes it was Icicle I was talking to. It was good of them to try and coordinate between us. Maybe Haute Route next year then! As least we're in contact now through this forum and in the loop with Matt and Tom also.

Matt and I are currently out in La Clusaz again and trying to do a bit, although the spring conditions are proving to be very spring like, and the snow is very heavy and wet and sliding off whatever it can so we're not going too mad.

But do stay in touch about next year.
