oh boy was it swell. it was so great Joe jumped for joy.
other than a small avalanche scare where a hard carvin bottom turn propagated a slide 60 feet uphill from me, and the panicked route finding that ensued, it was an amazing day.
the snow level the night before was 1500 feet... we were shredding at 7000, it was blower!
we made several runs but this one was definitely the best one i did all day.
we stayed till sunset and it was amazingly beautiful. we toured up around Mississippi Head and then shralped down to timberline lodge in the twilight twinkle with the help of some headlamps.
remember folks...there is no good terrain on Mt. Hood.
