It's on up on Berthoud, lots of riders and skiers, good coverage from this last storm. Been tromping around on snowshoes doing some track packing, got very cold last night and all of that heavy wet accumulation has set up into some very excellent base material. Lots of sharks around so don't get bit, way to early in the season to end your season. Think Snow!

Found stashes of 8 to 10 inches and more up on Berthoud today and it came down all day long. Someone finally turned on the snow hose on up there. See ya tomorrow!

Six days of snow and it's still coming. Things are filling in nicely with more snow forecast for the next few days. Very localized systems have been blessing Berthoud. First face shots of the season!

Everything seems pretty glued down and it has been staying cold, appears to be helping solidify things a bit. Don't misunderstand, the snow pack is still HEINOUS! I have dug more pits and spent more time doing snow observation than I ever have. Staying off the big faces so far this season, still enough 35 to 40 deg treeed shots for me to get my fill. Be vigilant out there, late season is going to be a very active avalanche season. Use you noggin, stay alive! Think Snow!

Another 5+ overnight, pretty cold and blustery with more snow today with more expected overnight. New routes opening up every day. Call in sick and get some! Think Snow!
Berthoud was freaking great yesterday! A little windy, but the snow was wind loaded and deep! Got a few over the head shots and didn't experience any real instabilities, other that some collapsing at lower elevations early in the AM. Stay safe out there, the CAIC report is still considerable for almost all aspects.
