there have been several near misses just outside the mt. baker backcounrty in the last few weeks. 2, or 3, wasnt sure, its a bit confusing. anyway, here is a link to the "second" burial, quite a story. i should mention that were all non-fatal, but those guys were REALLY lucky.

remember, when it snow 5 feet in a week and a half, its best to sit things out and let the snowpack stablize after the storms. you will get your turns everntually, the snow isnt going anywhere!

Crazy stuff. It's so easy to have guard down early season. Good reminders.
