haha, for me it's both - La P'gucci micro puff vest and then if I am beyond resort pistes (90% of my riding!) in the bottom of my pack you will find (also from la p'gucci milan catwalk) the ultralight down garbage bag, er I mean shirt, as an emergency layer - packs down to a beer can size and weighs about as much as an empty one.

How long? Video only talks about application to bags.
I keep a hooded synthetic puffy in my pack all the time because conditions can go sideways in a hurry in the PNW and I don't need the insulation at -20, I need it at the freezing point. I usually have a Patagonia down jacket in the car too but I'd only swap that into my pack if I were touring during a very strong high pressure system and was sure that things would stay dry.
