great videos JIn. the Aravis is one of my favourite ranges, i've had many good times there and it's nice to see footage of the combes - and them being shredded hard by a splitter! thanks!

That first video is super fun, well done. Soul shredding. How much vert would you say that shot was top to bottom. I would want an ST for sure.
In the 1st video, the way up is ~1150m (~3800ft), the way down is the same but I cut out the last part in the woods (and the non interesting parts) - I'd say the great part is 900m (~3000ft).
I used to ride this with a ST (voilé ST 178) and it was great, but the ST was way too dangerous for the couloirs/steep runs there are around - so I got a solution which is a good board for everything (rocker = good float and stiff enough for the "hard stuff").

The crazy thing about this combe (the 1st one) is that it's well known, it didn't snow for 4-5 days, it was the week end and there were at least 30 skiers in front of us... They all went the same way and left us the best stuff! - Same for the 2nd one...
We're lucky ATM, some kind of revenge compared to last year!
