I like it when the beginnings of my splitboarding adventures involve wheeling to the trailhead, a little extra adrenaline for the morning...good stuff, yeah, yeah!
This is what's on tap for today
Standing on top of my line enjoying views of Pyramid
views of Desolation
views of Angora
views of Freel
views of the summit
Looking down the line
Strapped in ready to drop in
Decent snow in the upper section
Line Ridden...smooth and buttery up top, icy chunder through the choke, and soft at the bottom
SE Cirque
Chocolate Chips
The boulder crossing to get back to the snowfield to exit
The buttery exit turns

Sweet! Someone rode backcountry in California and of course it was my friend Buffy! I hope there is maybe another storm or two on tap for this season I would love to ride with my friends again.
Freel like riding some pow pow on my snowboard. How much snow do you have up there in Oregon?
We're supposed to have another storm brewin tomorrow night/Weds morning, not supposed to get significant accumulations at the lake, but maybe in the higher elevations.
Storn you should blow off work and go snowboarding like the old days. I know it's a little different now that you work for yourself and you don't work for "the man", but still, priorities man, priorities.
Benells- my older bro has a Next Adventure bandana that we brought with us on the family backpack trip up to Gilmore and then Tallac with my little bro and my dad way back when I first moved to South Lake like 7 or 8 years ago.

No I'm a Cali native, born in Lone Pine California at the base of Whitney, still have yet to climb that one. Lived here all my life.
My brother moved up to OR a while ago though and still lives up there. I get up there every once in a while to ride at Hood. I like the night riding at Ski Bowl. I like Hood Meadows wish it were steeper. Last time I was up there me and my brother skinned up from the little ski resort below Timberline up the long cat track to the edge of Timberline then rode back down and then did a small trip up to Mt. St. Helens the next Day. weather was too warm though and lots of dirt hiking, and crap slush snow. I keep meaning to get out to Bachelor when I'm up there, but the drive is quite a bit longer.
I don't think I've met you, unless it was out splitboarding.
