I just had a great week in the Aravis mountain range, this year there's a ton of snow (2.5-3m at the top, down to the bottom) and this week we have cold coming directly from Russia (-23 degrees C/-10 degrees F).

This mountain range is just in front of the Mont Blanc (Chamonix) and well know for its great ski touring possibilities

It's not really a "trip report" as I was born and live here, so everything you see is about 1/2h from my place ( + 3-4h touring of course!)

Let's start with the best day, Saturday :

Overall, a really great week, more than 6000m (20000ft) total going up, much more going down (resort...)

Damned, and it is next door. I need to visit the Aravis once. I am in Geneva. We should hang out together once.
