...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM
AKST THIS EVENING...
.TODAY... SNOW ACCUMULATION 12 TO 24 INCHES.
.TONIGHT...SNOW. AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW. VISIBILITY ONE MILE OR LESS
AT TIMES. SNOW ACCUMULATION 8 TO 14 INCHES...

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that 20 to 38 inches in a day? Something like 2 to 3 feet I believe.

Yes it is the Girdwood/Tunagain area. Sorry about your eyes too, I hope they've unseen what they saw before and they're doing better. :lol:
I'll be in Thompson Pass in a few weeks myself. :D

you splitting when you're out there? we're going to be in valdez on the 21st for about 10 days before we head back to anchorage....looking to get out touring and possibly catch a few motorized rides, $/weather permitting :headbang:

Heli season doesn't really start 'til March. I'll be there March 1st bartending at The Tsaina Lodge. Stop by and say "High", anyone who wants to, I'll be splitting and snowmachining right outside my yurt door daily... Unless I'm offered a free heli ride that is. I plan on building a igloo or two for "droppers by" when time warrents as well.

My last day working in Girdwood is Feb. 23rd. PM me if you're around the Turnagain area before then. Oh yeh, up until today it's been the best/most stable snowpack I've seen in my life!!! I hope it stays this way.

I really need to find a job in AK this spring. Especially seeing as how I can't stay at my current job beyond the beginning of April.
