Seems like a good way to experience AK...

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it happen this winter (I need MORE time off) but I've never been to AK and this seems like a killer way to check it out.

It's not a cheap trip, but it seems like it would be so sweet...I know the guys that will be guiding (they did a recon trip last winter) and know a few folks who have already booked the trip. If I don't make it happen, I'm gonna be jealous this spring...

I saw this on TGR. It sounds like an awesome idea, but it is stupidly expensive for sleeping in a tent in my opinion. Seemed that was the general consensus on TGR as well. For 2 grand, you could get way more out of 2-3 days of heli-skiing than 5 days of touring.

I think that Points North posted something on TGR saying that you could get $500 off you mention the forum...at $1500 it seems like it would be worth it. But it's really the time that's gonna limit me.

To get the $1500 deal you have to be a group of 4. I'm down for the April 1-7 trip. The dates are filling up. Send me a message if you want to try and cobble together a group.
