Scooby 2 - I'm not selling them direct because I'm lazy Originally I built the pucks for Burton to Voile conversions but Chair 2 approached me to build some of these for solid board use. I also thought people could use these for DYI splits using the factory inserts and a single binding screw/t-nut at the end of the puck.

InTheMountains - Chair 2 is the only place selling my pucks so my pucks are exclusive to them. But the concept is not an exclusive, or original for that matter. FirstLight and others are machining their own high quality versions.

burton - No, there's no secret on the top. It's just got a wide/shallow slot machined in it so the Voile sliders with bindings slide properly. The hole in the puck is just a center hole. I found it helpful when to properly position the puck before drilling the mounting holes. Great idea for drilling the 4x4 pattern!

I like the idea and thought about buying these from "burton", but I really do need a small adjustment in the angles. I seem to have a chronic problem with my rear foot ankle and an adjustment of 3-6 degrees is needed once in a while. Has anybody played or seen anything like these with adjustment? One solution would be for example to use a similar setup as with rental bindings. A teethed metal disc bolts into board and has a thread for a screw in the middle of the disk. POM plate would attach with one screw to the middle and you´d have the normal 3 deg adjustments. You could even achieve normal range of fine tuning stance with such a setup. The problem probably is manufacturing of such a plate with teeth underneath.. and it would probably be a bit flimsy and heavier also

Some may wonder about the price of these.
They are expensive but that's what they really end up costing if you want them to be exact and fit properly.
You can try and make them with a table saw or Router but the tolerances will too much.

I've sold loads, you get what you pay for.

Firstlight - How do you like the feel of the canted pucks? I've often thought of this as a solution to my 24in wide stance and long leggedness.

I made these for myself to try and get a different angle on my back foot when riding in hardboots.
I made some prototypes at different angles and 5 degrees was the one that felt the best for an overall ballanced feel.
It gives me better front foot pressure heal side with less need to worry about the rear leg/knee bend.
I can stand on the board more evenly weighted.
What I've also realised is that I love 2 degrees on my softboot setup.
Next run I might make a few dirfferent angle.

Firstlight - what stance angles do you run? (Soft and hard boots)

White Pine
Hardboot +20/+22 on front +5 rear (Scarpa Spirt)
Softboot +15/+17 front, -7/-10 rear (32 TM)
The front if you can read it that well from the Voile pucks. (Soft and Hardboot)
The rear I use my own measurement for my puck (Hardboot)
Haven't tried cant on the front foot yet

Next year if the ankle transplant goes well im using Garmot masterlites.

Are these "onebinding" pucks split down the middle? Doesnt look like it. If it is an option it could be an alternativ to edison when going DIY. Would be nice to use the already drilled holes

I got a question for you custom puckers. I just found a water jet guy near by and am planing on splitting a couple of boards with him. Here is my query, should i mount the pucks before splitting? Or wait till after due to the loss of material during splitting? Your replies would be most appreciated. I love the idea of only 4 t-nuts per board! And the custom route looks ultra tight....

Wait till after or your pucks won't line up properly. Also you might end up with slop forward and back. Dial it in after splitting the board.
