Just took delivery of a new board, bindings and Voile mountings.
The retailer has sent me the Voile kit containing three double slot location disks and and single slot location disk instead of the correct two of each.
I've let the retailer know and they are going to see what they can do, but because Viole and all other splitboard hardware has limited distribution and stock here in England it might take longer to resolve than the 6 days I have before I head to the mountains for a few weeks.

Because of this I've mounted the pucks with what I have and would like to hear people's thought's on how likely I am to get away with the following (assuming I din't get the correct part delivered in time). I've only ridden the solid Voile pucks on my DIY and have no experience with the location disk style pucks.

1) Ride it as it (see pics) I'm concerned that the pressure on the bindings will cause the pucks to slide across the width of the board, and me to end up with a busted leg.
2) Remove the toe side double slot location disk, seal the bottoms of the slots with tape, remount and fill the open slots on each side of the screws with epoxy resin to prevent them moving for or aft.
3) Cut four blocks or shims from an old set of Voile DIY solid pucks to the length and width of the four open sections of slot on each side of each screw and epoxy them in - my measurments will have to be precise to ensure a fit with the bindin rails though and I won't have access to a workshop. Will havee to be a Dremel job and likely to be messy.

I see your point. I don't have a voile setup, but I think the puck on the right should only have one slot rotated 90 degrees right?

I think the puck on the left is not likely to shift, as it is at the end of slot anyway. Even if it would shift it won't come off. No problem there.

The one on te toeside is a bit of a gamble but I would leave it like this for now. The only thing you could do is fill up the slots, but you would have to be precise to make it any better than it is now.

(just to clarify my dumbassdness in this instance, went looking for a UK distributer of Voile stuff without success and didn't think to look at European options. The answer was staring me in the face - thanks again dude)

If it were me I would not worry about it. Actually I don't worry about it, I have been riding my boards like that for a few years now. Never had a puck move

If you have the rubber gaskets under them, and have the screws snugged down tight, I think you are totally in the clear. The pucks really can't move laterally at that point. The two styles of puck slots exist for alignment reasons, not specifically to prevent slippage.

My pucks shift a ton. I have the actual pucks, not your set up. I generally lose about 1cm a ride with the pucks you have. I just recently put some grip tape under them to see if they would stay more. Verdict is still out if it works.

Retailer has a new disk in the post express delivery for me so all will be ok.

Interesting that some experience puck slippage and some not.
If these things slip I'll give the grip tape approach a try.

(edit) George - Thanks man, I got the board and hardware from The Sick and the Wrong. Other than the minor confusion with the disk they provided an absolutely superb service.

I only bought a DIY split kit from Steve but he couldn't have been more helpful. Pricing was really good - certainly no more than $price+shipping and possible import taxes which was refreshing to see

Hey i just got 3 doubles and a single in a new pack from Voile also! a bit annoying,but i was able to go to Prior in Whistler and just trade for a single
