like most of you, i have the voile tractor skins and use the cheat sheets that came with them. and like most of you, i imagine that after a few tours, the cheat sheets are starting to flake and coat the glue side of your skins. are there any better cheat sheets that don't do this? i've heard from a couple skiers that the G3 skin savers don't break up as much but the reviews at MEC say otherwise: http://reviews.mec.ca/9421-en_ca/5003-8 ... eviews.htm. anyone know of any better options?

Go to a hardware store and get a roll of "gutter guard". It is plastic mesh that goes over rain gutters to keep leaves out. It's pretty burly stuff and won't break down. The edges end up really sharp and pokey though. I sewed some piping on the edges of mine. It's also pretty stiff. I got like 15 feet for $4. Too cheap not to try.

That may work, but I fear the skin's glue would have a greater affinity for the tape than the tape would have for the cheat sheet. A strip of fabric folded over the edge and held in place by hot glue (sort of a hot glue and cheat sheet taco) may work too.

love glove looks pretty slick. i like the fact that it also wicks moisture from the glue. a pretty simple idea that would be an easy DIY but i'll probably end up buying one when it comes out.

The G-3 (red) skin savers are the only ones I've found to hold together. They even lasted through the whole off season without leaving chunks on my glue. Be sure to stay away from the Black Diamond ones. ( I can't think of any other BD products that I would say this about).

anybody else have first hand experience they can weigh in with? i just picked up some g3 skins and am hesitant to use the g3 cheat sheets that came with them. truth be told, they will probably last long enough for me to pick up a love glove or make my own (under armor material seems like it might work?)

I have a dozen days of doing 2-5 laps per outing using the stock G3 cheat sheets and they are holding up ok so far. I am using the gutter guard with edging sewn on with my BD skins since the stock ones were breaking down and shedding black plastic flakes. The gutter guard is ok but very stiff and does not fold small. It takes some getting used to, but is totally bomber. It needs edging bad though cause the cut edges are sharp as hell.
