UPDATE: Here's the weekend itinerary and rules/prizes for the raffle!

Some people are coming early, some staying late - check in here or on the facebook page if you're looking for people to tour with before, during or after the event. There's some carpool requests out there too. Try to help someone out if you can!

I'm arriving Friday and would like to find some people to tour with on Saturday, I've only done one tour up at Rogers (Grizzly Shoulder) so it would be good to pair up with some people more familiar with the area. I've already been out on a couple tours this year.

Let me know if I can join, looking forward to meeting some new people.

Cheers! :guinness:

We are on our honey moon this winter splitboarding. We left Vermont in mid November and are headed back in April. Are going to try and make it to most splitfests this winter. Otherwise we go where our friends and family live and look for some good snow to split.

We have never been to Rogers Pass, and have had 11 riding days so far with some beacon training mixed in at different BCA parks. We take our safety seriously and are looking for a couple others who may be interested in touring with us. We don't skin very fast and are not trying to summit every peak. Gonna try to arrive Thursday sometime but wont tour till Friday. If we seem like team members that you would like to tour with then pm me.

TO TREEPILOT (OR WHO EVER CAN ANSWER): The cash we bring should be Canadian$? Right now the currencies are almost equall. If the answer is yes can you tell me if in grocery stores in Canada can i get cash back when i use my bank card to av0id the stupid ATM fees?

Come on SNOW!!
Check out our Blog to see how the honey moon has been going, the link is below.

Raffle tickets can now be purchased with visa or MasterCard subject to minimum $20 purchase. Currencies are at par or close to it, but dealing with only can$ makes it easier for accounting.

Due to differences in "debit cards" between our countries, it's unlikely you'll find a merchant willing to do cash back. Unless things have changed down there, you have a visa (or MasterCard, or similar) branded debit card, right? If so, merchants will pay much more to process than a Canadian issued debit card. I could be out of date, but that's how it used to be a couple years ago.

Only can$ you'll really need is for Friday nights $5 film Fest

Parks Canada does not have the staff this year to do an special info session for us. Day permits are one option, the annual option is outlined in the email sent to those who register http://www.splitboarders.ca/register.html

Two wheel drive compact should be ok. Usually. Except when it's not. As a main artery they keep the road plowed as best as they can - biggest risk is the whole thing is closed for avalanche control -then doesn't matter if it's a 4x4 truck, you're still stuck.
