This thread may be dead but, any of you flagstaff bros. ever boarded Mormon mtn? Daily sun editorial states the lake consistantley gets colder temps and more snow. Been checking it out on google earth and there could be some nice little 1,000 ft drops through trees any of you guys ever been desperate enough to go try it? I snow-shoed it years ago in good snow before my splitboard addiction and it seems to have potential.
I'm getting out their tomorrow with the whole family, but i'm going to peel off for skin up the north/northeast aspect of mormon. We're probably going to try and get out their around 11, not sure what the access will look like but we have a jeep that might get us close. Let me know if your up for a hike.
Antonio is coming up for B-side may he wants to come, Si's not committing.

I've looked at the topos too and I think it has potential as well. If I can remember what I was looking at, the NE slopes off the summit are the steepest. It is true, that in storms that come up the Rim, from the SW, the areas closer to the Rim get more snow. I'd be up for the adventure when conditions improve.
