I love my "Banana Split". It's last years Skate Banana 56cm. Makes for some tricky touring but the float is worth it. I should add that most of our zones are pretty tight around these parts and require a tight turning board.

This is just my opinion but I think the traditional banana out performs the c2 in powder. My current solid is a J lynn 57, euro carves like a alpine board but lacks in pow in my opinion.

:twocents: Anyone?

i agree. i have a skate nana 56 and a danny kass c2btx 53. btx works better in pow. makes sense. in deep pow you just want plain old banana. no need for camber of any kind

Thanks for your input, i appreciate it! I love my Lib Dark Series! Its not a split but the banana in the pow is awesome. I just wonder how it would do on steeper climbs with skins on??

in my limited experience, i am glad i have some camber for the way up. definitely helps with skin grip IMO. i have a prior AMF split so i still have some rocker from the inserts out to the nose and tail.

If I had it to do over again I would have went with BD skins, the G3's have less grip. The banana makes for some interesting climbing.

Thats what i figured, you would almost need a crampon because any hard pack only the middle portion of your ski style would engage the snow underneath
