First I fitted the skins. Because I don't like the original Voilé skins by several reasons I now try skins in a mohair/nylon-mix and with not such a strong glue.
At the tip I used the original Voilé loop, for the tail loops some by “colltexâ€Â

Those ucks are awsome! That would hve saved me a ton of work on my high angle front foot! Looks like better engment as well with the full length. it will be interesting to see how these hold up compared to the nylon Voile pucks. Great to see these in Derlin (brand name) as well. I see potential here to integrate cants and lifts as well.

Any machinists in the US want to do some charity work in the intrest of split progression? .....no, I mean it....

Those skins are similar to the Burton skins (might even be who Burton outsourced them from). They're nice and light and pack well. My only warning is regarding the glue, but with the tail connector it probably wont be an issue unless you're in very cold and dry conditions.

The tail connector looks like he used standard rivets. You can get them (and the rivet gun) at most any Hardwear store.

Regarding the custom pucks. While they look like great pieces of work (nice work burton the splitboard builder!), I'm a little skeptical that they make that much difference in torsional rigidity. The rigid, aluminum Slider Track itself is what does that. I don't see how there can be flex “withinâ€Â

Just curious, has anoyone ever modified the heel block so that it can click in for short down hill sections in split mode, then release when ascending, like touring bindings... anyone?

Been trying to brainstorm one up lately...

Dweller- If you do the same mods I did to my front slider you can set your board up with two pair of touring brackets, the extra at heel mode. Drop in a second set of pins and Voila!, lock down heels. Not quite sure how to mount the heel lift ten, but I'm sure it can be done. The dual pin for ski-mode has been done.

What does the extra slider pin attach too on the board to lock the heel?

The second set of touring brackets, placed where the heel lifters were located.

I bought several loops last winter in switzerland, to see what's best ... guess it's No.7 - but the pic shows that size B is 17 mm. size A+C are 65 - that's nearly correct.
take care that you take loops with the same design/shape as the pics above show!
No.9 does not fit well!
